Haha, I am lazy to right again as this time I got seventh place!!!! No way. Toooo humiliating. Terrible, getting seventh place. Edward Lee is improving like hell. He can beat everyone else easily. I must try to beat him in the national age group. Anyway, good luck to Edward especially. He deserves it like no other.

Selangor Age-Group Chess Tournament for U-14 and U-10

The age group chess tournament which was held in Sunway College(Monash University)was a great success. As the prize money was quite a lot, many good players were there trying their best to secure themselves a good place in the tournament. There were many players who gave me a good impression on their playing strength. One of them was Edward Lee who almost made it to the first place if not for loss with me in the fifth round. It was pure luck for myself as I was almost losing when I was a pawn down. He could have easily taken the point by just sacrificing the rook for a piece and a pawn in the middle game.It was my fault to have not written down the game as it would be very beneficial to me. I must learn that good habit from the brothers, Fong Yit Ho and Fong Yit San who I think have been very keen on putting their best on chess. In the U-10 category, Tan Wei Hau demonstrated an excellent performance by beating most of the other performers and even stood a little better than our young prodigy, Yeoh Li Thian, who is only eight years old. Let us see the bomb exploding when our national U-16 champion, Anas comes to the next week tournament which is for the U-12 and U-16 categories which is going to be held in Sunway College.
